I have years of experience working on the other side – for long term disability insurance companies – as a senior claims administrator. I use my knowledge of insurance companies' procedures and motives to help my clients get the long term disability benefits they paid for.

About me
My career in disability benefits started out at a leading Social Security Disability law firm where I became one of the top paralegals and legal writers in the firm, advancing to become a non-attorney licensed representative for the Social Security Administration.

Having reached the top of the Social Security Disability field (for a non-attorney), I switched gears to private long term disability insurance. For nearly a decade, I worked for well-known long term disability insurers such as Reliance Standard, Dearborn National, Liberty Insurance, Lincoln Financial Group and Cigna/New York Life Insurance as a senior claims manager. In those companies, I handled all aspects of disability insurance, gaining a thorough and practical knowledge of the complex – and usually vague – language of long term disability insurance policies.
My years in claims administration have given me the unique ability to understand insurance companies’ procedures and their motives. These years of experience on the other side equipped me with the tools to help folks get the disability benefits they paid for.

I joined the Maddox Firm to continue my passion of helping and fighting for those in need.

In my spare time, I am an avid dog lover and gardener. I also work with several non-profit organizations in my community to help those suffering from substance use disorders recover by volunteering with local sober homes and going into local county jails. I recently became a mother to a beautiful baby girl, a dream of mine since being one myself.
